The December meeting was a low key annual meeting, due to the change of the month when annual meetings are to be held, to May. This is to allow more time to discuss the resolutions before voting, at the national annual meeting in May.

WI September Meeting

Viviane Clout welcomed 14 members and one visitor to the meeting. The speakers were Mary and John Breeds who gave a talk on Braunton Burrows, accompanied with slides. Braunton Burrows has been designated a Special Area of Conservation. It is owned by the Christy Estates and the Ministry of Defence,and English Nature provide conservation management. [...]

WI June Meeting

Members gathered at the Combe Martin Museum on Monday 6 June. A most interesting evening was spent looking at all the displays and exhibits. WI darts team win

The WI darts team travelled to the finals at Longdown village hall on Saturday 16 April. Dena Denham and Viviene Clout were unable to attend, so Gail Evans and Gillian Parker took on the ladies of Athrington and Umberleigh to return home victorious, after a challenging afternoon of darts.
