Following on from last year’s successful ‘Braunton Wheels’ event, Calvert Trust Exmoor are once again planning the event for the last Sunday in July. Braunton Recreation Ground in the Centre of the village is the venue. Start time is 10.30am Last year we had a fine array of over 120 vehicles, including vintage tractors, classic [...] President Viviane Clout welcomed the speakers, Carol and Peter Duncan, and 16 members, including new member Sue Hill,to the March meeting. Names of members going to Torquay for the Spring Council Meeting on April 13th were noted. The Whist team are through to the finals to be held at Longdown on March 19th. We wish [...] We’d love for you to support the following events: Big Breakfast in aid of the parish church of St Thomas is on Sunday 20 February in the village hall from 9am. Sponsored Knit In in aid of North Devon Hospice is on Monday 21 February at Beachborough. Time: from 10am. Soup and roll lunch to follow, (for [...] President Viviane Clout welcomed 17 members and the speaker Andrea Davis to the first meeting of 2011 on Monday 7 February. Vivieane told members of the Spring Council Meeting taking place in April in Torquay and took names of anyone interested in attending. One of the speakers this year is Adam Hanson from Countryfile. The [...] President Gillian welcomed 16 members, 1 visitor and 1 new member at our November meeting. There were 6 appologies. Previous minutes read and duly signed and forthcoming events and matters arrising followed with discussions.. 1. Denman visit, 10 members will be going. 2. Next meeting 6th December is AGM with bring and share supper, especially [...] Federation News Farm Trip The children from Kentisbury and Parracombe KS2 enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at Tinnerdy Farm. The children learnt about habitats and animals and used their orienteering skills to navigate around the grounds collecting letter box stamps.
