From 1/4/11 charges apply at all Devon County Council Recycling Centres for the disposal of the following waste types:
- Soil/Rubble £2 per bag (£2 minimum charge) (including bricks, blocks, tiles, paving slabs, concrete posts, sanitary ware etc)
- Plasterboard £7 sheet/bag (£7 minimum charge) (including gypsum related products). *Not accepted at South Molton, Ivybridge and Totnes.
- Asbestos** £20 sheet/bag (£20 minimum charge) (bonded type only) ** Only accepted at Bideford, Exeter, Great Torrington, Honiton, Kingsbridge, Newton Abbot, Okehampton, Tavistock and Tiverton. Must be pre-booked. Please ring 0845 155010 for more details.
- tyres £2 each (commercial vehicle tyres not accepted, bicycle tyres no charge)

The following vehicles will not be permitted at any Recycling Centre:
- any vehicle over 3.5 tonnes gross weight
- any tipping vehicle
- box vans/Luton vans (with the exception of vehicles hired to a household from a legitimate vehicle hire company for a hire period of less than 3 days and appropriate documentation can be produced)
- any trailers over 3m (10’) in length (measured from tow hitch) or with more than 1 axle. Trailer size limit at South Molton site is 1.8m (6’) due to restricted nature of site.
- Tractors/agricultural machinery.
